Orders placed up to 1400 BST Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) will be dispatched within 24hrs. Orders placed after 1400 BST on a Friday will be dispatched the following Monday.

All shipments are posted via 'Royal Mail' 1st class postage. Once posted you will receive email notification of order. When your item has been dispatched, 'Char-le-maine' has no control of the order whilst it is being processed by 'Royal Mail'. Therefore if there is any queries regarding your order, we cannot adhere to them until such times they are delivered. It is the responsibility of 'Royal Mail' to deliver your item. If there is a delivery issue, we (Char-le-maine) can only apologise & note we will contact 'Royal Mail' to ensure the issue is resolved promptly.

Unfortunately when an order is placed, we cannot make any changes to the delivery address.

If your parcel is not delivered on time, contact us and we will aim to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Please allow 5 working days for your order to be delivered. 


21 days to return*

We believe you will be happy with your product, however If you are not completely satisfied with any items received, you may return them to us within 21 days from delivery (subject to the conditions below) for an exchange, refund or store credit voucher. Please note your returns must be delivered to us within this time, returns received beyond these periods will not be accepted unless agreed otherwise. Returned items must be in the new condition you received them in. Char-le-maine inspects all products prior to dispatch and will not accept a return if it has been purposely damaged.

Processing returns

Our aim is to process all returns within 5 working days of delivery, however during busy periods such as sales it could take up to 10 working days. Please note that once we process your refund, the funds may take up to 5-8 working days to show in your bank account.

Returning faulty items

We quality-check all items thoroughly before they are dispatched, but please check your items carefully on delivery for any damage/faults and return them within the above returns period for an exchange, refund or store credit note.

All items returned as ‘faulty’ will be subject to a thorough investigation to confirm that the damage is due to a manufacturing fault and not normal wear-and-tear, which is not covered by our returns policy. The item may need to be shipped to the manufacturer for them to assess and decide this, which can take up to 14 working days.

Faulty items returned beyond the regular returns period above will be professionally repaired and returned to you at no cost. If the item is un-repairable we will offer you a full or partial store credit note or replacement (at our discretion) depending on the extent of the damage.

Return exclusions

We hope you fully understand that we cannot accept returns on the following items; 

1. Gift vouchers

2. Savers club plans

3. Expired payment plan items

4. Personalised handmade items

5. Sale items

Items purchased under the SALE can only be returned for store credit note or an exchange within 21 days of delivery.

UK ONLY: This does not affect your statutory rights - you may return promotional items for a refund under the Distance Selling Regulation, which requires that you provide us written notification of cancellation within 14 days of delivery.
